Dune-by-dike Nature-based Solutions

'DuneFront' aims to enhance coastal protection and safety by optimizing solutions that make use of a combination of natural elements (dunes) and man-made hard structures (seawalls).

Objectives

To reach the general aim of the project, a set of specific objectives has been put forward.

Research

Within this multidisciplinary project, scientists from various research disciplines, companies and public services join forces to get a holistic view on these nature-based solutions.

Results

The consortium will pool together and evaluate their data and experiences to generate practical, usable and future proof dune-by-dike nature-based solutions.

In DuneFront, so called ‘Demonstrator sites’ play an essential role in the project.
